MSn 7(the last free non subscription version) allowed one to use an existing free hotmail account(msn.com), create a new free hotmail msn.com account, use an existing msn.com account(formerly a subscription and converted to a free), or use an existing msn.com legacy pop3 account if one wished to use MSn software and access using WebDAV protocol). - the latter though was originally problematic

MSN Explorer is provided as part of MSN Premium subscriptions now. If you do not use MSN Internet access, you could subscribe to MSN Premium standalone, bring your own Internet, for $9.95 a month. Hi Walter The 175 error you are experiencing means that the server was having problems validating your account. The most common reason for this issue is that there is a cookie stored on your machine that has expired data in it.
