We aren't at that stage yet, but it will arrive eventually, and as yet I don't see much evidence of many people doing anything other than panic unneccessarily or claim it will be alright in the end without needing to change anything. Neither approach is of any use whatsoever. The problem is those of us researching alternatives for oil get it...

Surely it should announce as H&C to Edgware Road or District to Gloucester Road (is that possible?), as appropriate, until reaching Liverpool Street/Tower Hill? ...Similarly with carrying power - if there is a real power failure abeam the numbers, then it is a "normal" engine failure and do what you can. To practice as a matter of course a zero power approach from there, particularly in slippery stuff, is unneccessarily risky IMO. I've never flown a Mooney, but I haven't done, and really wouldn't like to do, such an approach in a Bonanza.
