Certainly not. ;) A service pack is just a bunch of important updates and sometimes new little features (like SP2 had with the security centre). You should never uninstall a service pack unless you've got certain problems with it. Uninstalling a service pack would just make your OS less stable and secure. When you install eg. SP3, you just install it on top of SP2, SP1, and all other smaller

Sorry Owen, whilst your post gives some support for Microsoft I am of the opposite at the moment. That help and support issue was reported back in March. Why didn't Microsoft fix it by putting the command line fix in the executable. ? You mention site may have 'pre-existing' errors, well brand new server install and striaght away windows update wants to install SP2, help and support
