”The Two Noble Kinsmen” suffers from the persistent general opinion, that it is not up to the Shakespeare standard, although it undoubtedly at least in parts definitely is written by Shakespeare. The awkwardness is, that the contributions of John Fletcher are better than those of Shakespeare, which make a more strained impression, his verses seeming uncouth and uninspired and lacking completely
