Marc, I have quickly looked through your question - instead of doing an update query it may be that you need an append query to put the SA values as new records in the child table. That's if the import put new records in the parent table - the matching SA's would need to be created in the child table. Hi, I created an application that manages staffing actions. I created a button that imports an XLS file from a set directory on C drive using the following syntax: DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet transfertype:=acImport, _ tablename:="Candidate Test", _ FileName:="C:\New Promotion Tracking\Promel Test.xls", Hasfieldnames:=True, _ Range:="Sheet1!", SpreadsheetType

Thanks Meinholf, I checked DNS and cleaned up a few things. (thanks) The only pointer to outside IP addresses is in the forwarders Tab section of the DNS server's properties. When I restart the problematic server it runs fine for an hour or two during

On a brand new Dell Server I have installed Windows Server 2008 standard edition. The existing domain is controlled by a two server win 2003 AD setup and as part of the installation on the nw server I upgraded the schema of AD 2003 to be compatible with AD 2008. After booting the server I have access to AD Users and Computers (and windows logs via event viewer) for a short while but eventually
