The only physical effect CoS has is lowering enemy def, and that will only make killing faster if you have low AR and don't hit as often without

Actually the max size of a MDB was in the back of my head. Given how critical the data is and the typicall number of records returned per query, SQLServer was more of a given. Yes - I use the free AVG virus checker and have never had any problem. I use Avast on my non-media center PCs, but seemed to have problems, so I took it off my media center PC - it may have been something else, I'm happy with AVG. By the way, if you want your machine to run better overall, get rid of Norton and Spysweeper, they are both bloated, resource hogging applications. While Spysweeper used to be a worthy app, it has gone to pot in the last year, and Norton's been crap for many more years. -- ---- Crosspost, do not multipost http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm How to ask a question http://support

I think after work is less crazy I'll try SP3 again Thanks for everyone's help. dlf "Bill Davis" wrote: If you are having problems then don't use Microsoft Update to go to SP3. If you are having problems then don't use Microsoft Update to go to SP3. Go to Microsoft and download the entire XP SP3 installer application ~340MB. This may work better for you. SP3 install is typicall 30 to 40 Min depending on the speed of the computer (and what's installed). B.D. > With a standard BT badged phone on an "analogue" line I typicall see an echo return loss of about -25dB. Sure, but my point is that that's caused by imperfect termination of the analogue line, and not by acoustic feedthrough from earpiece to microphone. Dave That will depend a lot on the particular phone and line, but my experience has been that the echo is often a mixture
