My vintage SOTW British jacked has no buttons on the shoulder straps. The jacket should have chevrons on the sleeves, though a few jackets came with paper-type sticker chevrons. It's a dark olive green felt- like material. The SOTW German jacket has buttons on the shoulder straps and is a similar material, but is a darker color. The shoulder straps also have some color piping on them. There
