OH, I've tried the vaseline/grease but neither has the neutralizing properties and they are much much more stickier attracting dust, but thanks for the suggestions. I've had the same problem. The spray is messy. I was told of the old stuff having PCB's in it - maybe it was Holtz. I used Dielectric grease (this is by Permatex) and seems to be doing the trick. Looking for Holts No Crode, a reddish colored 'grease' like substance that came in a metal 'toothepaste' like tube that was used on the battery terminals on auto battery to prevent corrosion. Holts doesn't make it anymore, so if anyone sees or knows of old stock anywhere, please let me know, as I find the typical stuff that, say, CanTire sells that is a spray can just doesn't work to prevent
