Looks like the default SQL 2005 log shipping restore threshold is 45 minutes, how do you adjust it after you have set up the whole log shipping? I'... server seem ok but on the monitor server, I keep getting the alert warning for the 45 minutes threshold is out of sync. I guess if I adjuest the threshold to 2 hours then every thing should be fine, but I can't find where I can change ...

I found quite a few people in their .emacs setting gc-cons-threshold to a different value than the default 400000. I did. I wonder if there is a guidance for setting this value. So do I. I remember increasing it after several Gnus crashes but I did it without reflexion on what value to put here :) There used to be some benefit to setting it ...

And without having to fiddle with it...e. I'd recommend users to remove any gc-cons-threshold settings from their .emacs. Perhaps this recommendation should be mentioned ...

... our own oil reserves and building new refineries, right now. Unless the free market is restored that's not likely going to happen. What we will more likely get is either the status quo where the protected market players keep prices right at the pain threshold or there will be outright government control (by one means or another) and the result will be shortages and gas lines.
