One of my all time faves. The images in the song are truely gruesome. Steve Ahola wrote: Ricky Stevens wrote: A true downside of drinking song is "Wreck On the Highway" by Roy Acuff. Here's a sample of the lyrics: "When I heard the crash on the highway I knew what it was from the start I went to the scene of destruction And a picture was stamped on my heart.

One of the best songs about the downside of drinking is Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down". I first heard the song in a version by Ray Stevens, better known for novelty songs like "Ahab the Arab" and "The Streak". I guess there are plenty more in country music, such as "There Stands The Glass" by Webb Pierce. Alan -----Original Message----- From: Blues Music List [mailto:BLUES
