Hi Dishaa, Don't use Serna myself, but I did read the faq at Serna's site which states that the fop.sh xsl formatting app doesn't ship with Serna. If that's true, you'll have to obtain, install and configure fop.sh to work with Serna on your computer. Try having a look at http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/InstallingAnFO.html for additional info regarding the fo app. HTH, jan cohen

Hello members, I would really appreciate if members of this community who have used Syntext Serna can come to the rescue. I have 2 queries: 1. In the list of New document Categories, I do not see DocBook version 5.0. Can you let me know if Serna's Enterprise version 3.3.0 supports DocBook version 5.0? If no, can you let me know which version of Serna supports it. If none of them currently

Absolutely, you can use them in a formula, in VBA, and even in Edit>Goto (Ctl-G) where you can type in that name and it will THEN evaluate and goto that range. -- __________________________________ HTH Bob "Aussie Bob C" <AussieBobC@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ECD35C22-448D-40B7-84FD-05045F283D4E@microsoft.com... > Dynamic Named Ranges can still be used in functions

Dynamic Named Ranges can still be used in functions & programing Y/N? Just selecting one in the Names Box is not possible. -- Thank you Aussie Bob C Little cost to carry knowledge with you. Best thing to do is to get Jan Karel Pieterse's NameManager utility, http://www.jkp-ads.com/OfficeMarketPlaceNM-EN.asp. You will see those names in this utility, and it is a far better way to manage names anyway. -- __________________________________ HTH Bob "Aussie Bob C" <AussieBobC@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8702F3ED-A5E8-43C7-BE2F-7C5BD9489D8E@microsoft.com

Dynamic named ranges do not, and never have, appeared in the Names Box. This is because you can select the name in that box and Excel will select the range. Unfortunately, Excel seems incapable of evaluating the name upon selecting to get the actual range, so they omit it. -- __________________________________ HTH Bob "Aussie Bob C" <AussieBobC@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in

I tried "cpearson" Dynamic Ranges =OFFSET(Spend Rates!$L$5,0,0,COUNTA(Spend Rates!$M:M),1) to create a dynamic range in Column L starting at row 5. It appeared in a list for editing, but didn't appear in the Name Box drop down list. Have I omitted something or has the syntext changed for Excel 2007? Tried searching for it in Windows online help, not a thing about Dynamic Named Ranges came

Mike, The big two for page layout are Framemaker and Word. InDesign (Adobe) and OpenOffice Writer now have a following as well. Blaze (Madcap) might be a real contender if we ever get to see it. For help systems: Flare (Madcap), RoboHelp (Adobe), and a host of others. Pick your poison there. XML-based editors: Arbortext Epic, XML Spy, Xmetal, and oXygen. Lesser used (but very nice)
