NOTE: the El Salvador protest link is dead, but I managed to find the article anyway. And yes, human rights activists really are comparing British policing to notorious Latin American regimes. The protesters accused have now been released on bail; solidarity protests have been held in El Salvador and elsewhere. see also: http://www.cispes.org/ ----------------------------------------
