Hey, a new chain saw is a new chain saw, and better still if it's a gift :-) My step-father bought a new Stihl 032 back in 1979 I believe. He was a trucking owner-operator at the time, hauling flatbed. We broke in the Stihl by taking the Freightliner and 53' flatbed to LaPine, Oregon, and filling the entire trailer with firewood! We had plywood sides with 2x4s in the stake pockets
