I am amazed at the number of resaurants and canned soup producers that substitute for peas in pea soup. I have made a lot of pea soup and know how it looks and tastes. It is not supposed to be translucent, gelatinous, tasteless crud. I mean dried peas are what, a dollar per pound? Mitch
