Thanks Larry and Cliff for all your help. What I ended up doing this morning and it seems to be working is created a custom connection limit in ISA for my desktop. I have repeatedly tried to connect to the site over the day and it is consistenly working. I'll check over in the ISA group to see if this poses any problems. Thanks. -Dean "Larry Struckmeyer [SBS-MVP]" wrote: > It

Yeah...somethin is goofy with your ISA config. The good news is that you can rest easy about your SBS install now. Unfortunately I don't do ISA on SBS, so I'm reluctant to give too much advice (SBS is a different beast after all.) Maybe somebody else will chime in...or you can try posting in the ISA group now that you've narrowed the problem down a bit. -Cliff "SpinalTap" <SpinalTap@discussions

Hi Chris, I checked my connection limits in ISA and lo and behold there was a custom limit for my desktop set to 160. I thought this was it, so I removed it. That did not seem to help. As a test, I disabled the limits for all protocols (temprorary, as a test), and the web site appears to work, and has not failed on multiple attempts. I am however still receiving the following error

Hi Cliff, Thanks for the continued support - it is appreciated. Disabling the proxy server in ISA 2004 did not seem to make things any better. I did notice a couple of things in the ISA Server log during a call to the site. The first was: HTTP Proxy Denied Connection from my client IP to the SBS server IP as the destination. The status at the bottom says "A connection was rejected

First, to answer your question, I believe the problem is isolated to the client desktop (not necessarily Vista, just clients in general.) More specifically, it seems to me as though the proxy isn't behaving the way it should. This is unusual for an out-of-the-box ISA installation, so let us see if that is the problem. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc302564(TechNet.10).aspx#AppendixA

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the response. I checked the order under Network Connections and they appear in the same order as yours. Hi Larry, Thanks for your help so far. I ran the SBS BPA and a few things came back, but they were mostly related to .NET not being used by the monitoring software and Help and Support not being installed. I just tested it again and when the Internet Explorer error came up, I clicked on diagnose problem, and it said the Configured Proxy Server is not responding. I do not know if this

Thanks for the response Cliff. I reinstalled the ISS client from the link you sent, restarted and still the same thing. I am on Vista SP1. Based on your IPconfig, I assume that your clients are Vista (IPv6 has me making this audacious assumption.) If so, are you sure you are using the Vista capable ISA client? The one that shipped with ISA2004 does *NOT* play well with Vista. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=05C2C932-B15A-4990-B525-66380743DA89&displaylang=en -Cliff "SpinalTap" <SpinalTap@discussions
