Hrm.. good point. I don't really plan on ever using either SLI or Crossfire, but its something to consider if you do plan on going that route. I still like the p5KC because it is a relatively cheap board and it supports DDR3, which I am far more likely to upgrade to in the future than SLI/Crossfire. The next cheapest Asus mobo that supports DDR3 is the P5K3 Deluxe at $227 followed by the

Hi, Mark: Where did you get the idea that a P5KC supports SLI? It doesn't. It supports Crossfire. They are not the same thing. I see that you are planning on purchasing an 8800GT. I'm also looking at upgrading in the near future with pretty much the same setup your listing. This is what I plan to buy: - Quad Core Q6600 (~$250) - ASUS P5K-C Socket 775 mobo (supports SLI, DDR3, onboard gigabit, sound, for only ~$150) - 4GB of PC2-8500 (ddr3 is still a bit pricy for my tastes) $150 - Galaxy GeForce 8800GT overclocked 512mb (~$229) - 500Gb Seagate Barracude 7200
