I have a wide screen (16:9) 27 inch LCD to play sims 2 on. I actually get the sims (and other games) to wide view and scaled correctly by tell my games to be set at: 15:9 you might try that. For the 1600 x 1200 it is actually the 15xx x something I have the sims 2 up on a regular 1280x1024 lcd, so I can not select the 27" settings. But it is something like 15xx x 1300 - one setting lower
