" ReportMemoryLeaksOnShutdown := True; " Actually, this only catches the Delphi memory manager leaks. It does not catch windows memory resource leaks (for example, memory allocated during creation of a TBitmap). This problem manifests itself when using a TBitmap in a non-GUI thread. I ended up writing a class (TBitmapLite) that doesn't have the Delphi threading problem. Erik Turner

No, it doesn't... When you do a loadfromfile or loadfromstream, the tbitmap class internally does a Bitmap.FreeImage.
