| hello I have a pdp11/34a ,classic configuration:cpu+fpu ,programer console
,128k ram and a rx02,and a dl11 ,it boots ok with rt11 4.0 but I have never
succeded in making it boot with rt11 5.1 ,I even tested the disquettes (made
with everything necessay to boot
rt11sj,startup.com,dy.sys,tt.sys,swap.sys,all copied on a dd formatted
floppy,init'ed in dd , a copy/boot to copy bootstap... )with another |

Answering my own question... I'm fairly sure this is the expected behavior. The magtape handler issues a space forward block command with an 'infinite' (65k) block count. When the end of file is encountered, the actual block count can be computed, and this gives the file size for the directory listing. The cassette handler issues a space forward file command. No information is returned
