Hi Karl, Thanks for the fast response. I want to rely on the create date and not the modified date. As I read the description for the FileDateTime function I get the impression it returns the most recent activity date (whether or not it's the create or modified). Windows Explorer distinguishes the two dates so I'm assuming the create date is available. Any other thoughts? "Karl
