... how to get rid of this item, or it's content. How do I tell OneNote to dump these old sessions? If you no longer need the contents of those sections you can delete them (rightclick each section tab and select delete). You can also drag them into other notebooks if you want to keep the data. Once the "Live Shared Sections" notebook is empty it will disappear from the notebook bar ...

Well it sure doesn't work well. Go to people.com and view the main page with Firefox's Adblock and then with Opera with content blocked. Totally different.
