I can recommend you to do the following: 1. backup CRM 3 DBs 2. restore them on Virtual Server with Windows Server 2003 (NOT SBS) + SQL 2000 3. upgrade Virtual Server (with your working DBs) to SQL 2005 4. backup updated DBs 5. restore them on your new production server (the server where you have SQL 2005) 6. Make Acronis backup of new productions server 7. use CRM 3 Redeployment Manager

Yes I'm doing that now as well. Ideally I prefer to take a snapshhot of my system and restore that to a virtual server and test on that so I can be sure I'm taking everyting into account. But in the mean time I'm testing restoring my CRM data to a vanilla server 2003 setup and then test the upgrade

Then you upgraded and test on that server. Just to feed in here I'm currently doing this myself with vaired success. Had wanted to test the upgrade on eitehr a virtual machine or a standalone clone of our current server but after much fighting wasn't abel to get a clone of our server to run in anything but safe mode. Too many hardware differences I expect. So had no option but to go for it live on the main server one weekend. So
