M1 Carbines were all made in the WWII period, no military production afterwards. Some Garands were made during the Korean War, but there were enough M1 Carbines that it wasn't necessary to restart production for them. All military carbines were originally parkerized, if yours was blued, it was either done afterwards or was a civilian repro. Some outfits in the early '60s were making them up

Today I got a new tube, and I rotated my cranks. I also rebroke my post after about 5 hours of use with it being rewelded, I can still use the post though because it is broke in the back (i flipped the post when putting it back on), it just feels a little wierd when hopping SiF.
