ATK31, The you need to install Java on windows 2000, here is the link: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp I know W2K doesn't have System Restore like XP but here is tip for you: while on Boot try to start from command prompt and there type: scanreg /restore and select a restore Point/Date..it will show you by date. This in case you have trouble

ATK31, With this tool you will uninstall the Old Java from the SunJava not the MS VM? Read the instructions it work like Add/Remove Programs on XP shows you the Programs/Products listed and you select whichever program(s) you want to uninstall! After uninstalling th Java download and install the Recent version for Java. NOTE: you can restore your System if anything gone wrong. Or as I said

Hi, Thank you for your response. One cannot uninstall Java from Control Panel/Remove Programs in Windows 2000. I am very reluctant to use a “cleanup tool” to uninstall the MS Java and then install the SUN Java because of possible failures, incompatibility problems and “clashes”. (The Java.com site lists many unresolved problems related to installation of the SUN Java.) I really cannot

Hi, Sorry I didn't complete reading your whole post, so I missed the windows 2000 version :-) You can use the Clean up tool to uninstall the old Java then install the new version download cleanup tool from here: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/5000010800.xml Also try the windows Script 5.6 engine. If the above didn't help still try Firefox,. Fox have a VM console on the Application
