I think the carpet's a goner. Go to a huge discount carpet place and buy a remmant. Shouldn't be too pricey and then lay it yourself. It isn't rocket science or differential calculus. A quick search on google will tell you how. You can get a nice remmant for $150 or so, depending on the size of the application. As for the smell, I'd rather have painted concrete floors with some area
