...have picked up Business class to/from NZ a few times and Business to/from Perth on pretty short notice too. Used it for Economy UK travel for me and the missus a few times. I am no fan of QF particularly but in fairness I agree that their FF club is ok from where I sit. They don't hide from the fact you need to book well in advance and be a bit flexible with dates but thats it....
