hi all, i have to upgrade Small Buisness accounting 2006 Professional to Microsoft Office accounting 2009 professional by retaining the 2006 company file data. Can anybody help me to upgrade it? I have already tried backup and restor the company file from 2006 version to 2009. it restored the file successfully. when i tried to open the the restored file in Microsoft Office accounting

Bill, Hobby status or not... UPGRADE! The cost is small. Honestly. The benefits are huge. Honestly. I suspect you spend more on beer and food than on a VO upgrade so I don't accept the argument about cost. The real issue is that you aren't going to get much help with 2.5 because of its antiquity. I have customers with XP that say they are happy because XP does everything they need

Geoff, I don't understand your comment about a "WOW branch of the stack" - what is that? Also, wherever the keys are, where exactly does VO expect to "read them"? Thanks for the recommendation to not reinstall W7, it's jut that I have done so much messing around with various attempt that I thought I may have generated conflicting entries in the Registry that may have confused VO or W7??
