In AUSTRALIA our players almost always will playback PAL AND NTSC disks with no drama.. In the US and CA I believe they will ONLY play NTSC format disks so even if you overcame

Thanks Guys: I would sware on a bible that I tried your(Don's) line of code and it didn't work for me. Something else must not have been aligned exactly right and it failed. This time it worked. The problem may have been the find, since Dave points out a big problem with the find holding on to the last application's options. Again, a big thank you, to both Don and Dave, for the assist

This will fail if "sam501" isn't found. I think that this is better: Dim FoundCell as range with activesheet set foundcell = .range(.cells(5,7),.cells(5,251)).find("sam501") end with if foundcell is nothing then msgbox "not found" else foundcell.select 'not usually necessary msgbox foundcell.column end if ===== Ps. It's usually much better to specify all the parms in that

I'm fairly sure it can be done, because I think I have used it in the past, but searching for its use has been fruitless. Is there something that I can wrap around the following statement that will give me the column number? If so, what? Range

Hi Jeff, I once shot a T/C in .22-250 and it was very sweet. WAY better than the .44 Mag revolver I shot at the same time. But having owned .308 rifles, I still don't think I'd enjoy shooting a .308 Encore, 15" barrel or not. I really don't like obnoxious (handheld or shoulder-fired) guns. I enjoy shooting too much to overly abuse my ears, shoulder, wrists or nerves. I don't mind shooting

Hi Fred: Fear not. I have shot the .308 in a Thompson Encore and it was a pussy cat. Nice fire ball and a pretty loud bark, but, a pussy cat just the same. My .223 Contender is a dream to shoot. Less re-coil than a .38 with target wad cutters. It has the preverbial "Glass trigger" Zero take-up and almost no over travel. On a windless day with a sand bag. Put the crosshairs on anything
