Thanks for your response. In the end the solution, for me anyways, was as follows: Added the user to the SMS Admins group on the SMS server Added the user to the Distributed COM Users group on the SMS server Installed SMS Administrator console with the same level of service pack as the SMS server Ran the SMS Administrator console and deleted failed connection Right clicked onteh System
