Hi Malcolm, Give it a few more days just to make sure then you can delete it from the recycle bin. It may be a case that you inadvertently created a shortcut to Windows Mail on your desktop. Thanks for reply. Yes, the desktop icon does show the letter rack with letters in it. I'll do as you suggested and delete it and see what happens.
