I do not like her recordings. I bought an a eight-disk EMI box surveying her singing and listened respectfully. I have never returned to it. She was too perfect, but Haggin, as so often, was perceptive when he spoke of her "excessively mannered and affected phrasing and expressive hamming, exaggerated pouting, archness, gasps and whispers."
