As it happens, I did see the very great Mott many times; No doubt while you guys were spending all your time arguing the finer points of stereo systems and not actually listening to anything. Enjoy your pointless pop ups, and roll on Oct first, whatever you're planning to bore each other with then. S "PA Bear [MS MVP]" <PABearMVP@gmail.com> wrote in message news:%%23h%%232Wfw8KHA

That hooplehead is very well known in OE & IE newsgroups. Unfortunately, (s)he's also one which I've continue to indulge for some reason or other. I must be entering my dotage. By which you mean anyone dumb enough to believe the pointless and misleading pop up information provided by MS. MS clearly does not assume anything of the sort or it would not need any pop ups at all. Seems I'm dealing with trolls after all. Windows Update always /assumes/ you'll be ready, willing & able to reboot after installing an update, if a reboot is in fact required. If you've Approved the install (or download & install) of an update, you've implicitly told Windows Update that you'll be ready, willing & able to reboot after installing the update. spamlet wrote: This is all missing the point that Windows tells you
