Karl: Thank you, but I think I'm not savvy enough for that. I think I have a better explanation now of what I'm trying to do. It's absence database -- employees are allowed so many occurences in a 3 month, 9 month, and 12 month in a rolling 12 month timeframe. What I am trying to identify is those employees getting close to 3, 9, & 12 months. My absence dates are stored as mm/dd/yy

As you probably guessed, Mitch, It's not a simple task. There are issues such as open-ended recurring appointments (theoretically into the future infinitely), and removing/rescheduling particular appointments in the series. At the simplest level, your table might contain fields such as: StartDateTime Date/Time the date and time of the first appointment. Freq Number

This is not a defect, as it only occurd to me sometime later that a dependency properties value is not released when modified by an animation.
