Alex, When you click on the menu ID in the resources and when you have the Properties window open you will see where you can change the ID. I usually do this before I do anything else so that the ID doesn't get propogated when I add new items to the menus. I think the IDE is OK and you'll get used to some of this stuff as you go along. It is especially "OK" if you use other languages
