..., it's a whole lot older -- roughly fifteen years. just look at the similarities between mail in nextstep and mail in os x 10.0. it's just a later release of the original nextmail. For people missing the nextstep mail there is one open source, free and native (totally native!) mail client available. http://www.collaboration-world.com/gnumail/ It is named "GNU mail" but it is not ...

Yeah, but it wasn't released as an Apple product until six and a half years ago. true, but so what? the app existed long before apple bought it and there wasn't a whole lot different between nextmail and the first version of apple mail (or a lot of the other parts of os x too for that ...
