How did you Dual Core 2 Extreme system go? Does it work well with Premier Pro 2.0? What graphics or capture card do you use? What motherboard?

After a long shipping delay I finally received the last piece of my Dual Core 2 Extreme system. The motherboard. It arrived today. I hope to put together all of the parts this weekend and if all goes well will provide a benchmark for you on my system. Stay tuned! Rowby

What results has anyone been experiencing with the new Core 2 duo CPUs. Adobe has not updated the minimum requirements. The website still shows pentium 4 or Xeon. I am interested in the minimum requirements for HDV editing concerning the Core 2 Duo. Thanks, JAlvarado

I imagine we will both regret not waiting for the Quad-Core. :) The problem I have with After Effects is that I bought a Matrox Parhelia APVe which does not support much of the AE 3D stuff. And it has no useful GPU effect assistance. I may need to buy another video card for when I am not editing HDV.

If you're laying out some cash for new hardware, I would really recommend upgrading to 2.0 as well.
