The bigger home builders are already posting losses in the hundreds of millions, packing up empty land to sell for pennies on the dollar and 2008 is looking no better. The most recent NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index reading, which looks at builder confidence, rose barely in January after reaching a record low in December
