The rpc issue could all be tied to the multi-homed issue. Paul I understand the industry apprehension about multihoming........ It apperas my immedaite problem is figuring out why and on who the RPC service seems to not be running or one of these 2 knuckleheads cant find it right ? Paul, are you saying for now that I need to stop the multihome on my old DC1 in order to get all this replication to work between DC1 and DC2 ? My last line in the previous reply I did say I am not multihoming this new DC2 ....... I have an entire user community that uses that other IP/NIC with drive mappings and all I would have a month of work ifI was to get them all pointed

So don't turn your dc into a router. One nic for your DC, no exceptions. Good Morning Meinholf, My original network design , with budgetary restraints , demanded only one fileserver but I had to establish 2 networks due to bandwidth considerations NETWORK1 was my legacy business network and NETWORK2 was to be doing GIS and other highbandwidth applications....... so I established 2 separate networks... this legacy topological setup has not caused any operations
