There has been a substantial improvement in the send/receive issue in the past few days. Instead of getting send/receive errors every few minutes, I now get only a couple of them a day or so. Lots of times bug fixes have unintended consequences. I can imagine some Qwest exec. saying "fix this or else". Then a Hotmail sysop just turned on the pop3 switch for all Qwest DSL accounts, figuring nobody would notice. Apparently, Microsoft likes it that MSN is the default ISP for lots and lots of DSL customers. But as Robert says it is a reliable service if you can get it. Just because

Yes, I know..And one of the reasons I replied to Robert's post and not yours. There are other folks who had original dial-up pop3 legacy accounts converted to http via cancellation or use of Msn Explorer that function with the pop3/smtp servers. When Msn pulled the ability to revert either by way of the short-lived online tool or phone-in, some accounts could access via pop3 or http. Its possible
