Media Player 11 is a separate download. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx As is the .Net Framework versions. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?pocId=&freetext=.NET%%20framework&DisplayLang=en Each version is a separate download. Later versions are NOT updates. If your software requires Version 1.1, you must have .Net Framework 1.1 and updates

There is no stand-alone reinstall for Windows Media Player for Windows Vista. As such, you would need to run "sfc /scannow" from "cmd.exe" Run as Administrator to see if you can fix the file corruption here. -- Speaking for myself only.
