I'm hoping it was just iron, not sure i've ever been in Lake Michigan at this exact point before but the water was a interesting color near shore. http://www.chicagopaddling.org/tmp/redlake.jpg http://www.chicagopaddling.org/tmp/redlake2.jpg It's only red for about 20 feet and then becomes normal lake color. The overhead view makes it look like the color is coming out of the creek.
