A great thing about the Moody Blues was that of their two singer/songwriters, one was a guitarist and one played keyboards. I think they got a greater variety of songs that way. But how long did it take them to release 8 albums? Elton was more prolific and since virtually everything he wrote & recorded was great, I would say he was better.
