This sounds and looks very much like your hosts server is not set up correctly with the correct 'mime' type. If youre seeing the correct css styling in Safari and IE and not Nutscape and Firefox this is a sure sign of the css file being served incorrectly. I would get on to your host and say you don't think their server is set up correctly to server css files. Check it out by uploading
