I just read an article in "Guns and Weapons" about the 308 from Patriot Ordinance Factory. According to the article, the Marines are looking for a new rifle because of chronic jamming problems with the M -16/m-4 in Afghanistan and Iraq. Supposedly caused by talcum powder like sand and the need for heavy lubrication of the M-16/M-4. Also the poor performance of the 5.56 cartridge. I have
