Some news outlets do a reasonably good job, by pointing out misleading or incorrect political ads. I think that the Hawaii news operations do an absolutely lousy job in that area, since I cannot recall many instances, well actually I cannot think of one instance, where they have done that with any policital ad made by candidates running for office in Hawaii.
