Just curious...have you ever tried looking for gainful employment, and restricting your search area to a 10 block area? And, how many one-wage-earner families do you know? Could two people find a job in this 10 block area? Do the math...many people here in Hawaii especially need two or three jobs each in order to afford a home- rental or owned. How are all these people going to find work

Isn't that what you already have? Hawaii is a "beautiful" place to live. People "choose" where they buy a home, or rent a place to stay in. And they "choose" to live where they are required to "commute" to work. But I suspect you are talking about something completely different. What you would like to see is a community where people do not have to commute long distances. The question
