I'm not following this very good. Are you wanting to go to the next line without the number or bullet going along? Shift+Enter. When I use a bulleted list I usually don't have a second line, when it is a long sentence it will line up with the first line automatically. Can you send me a sample of what you are trying to do? mary-sauer@columbus.rr.com -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/

Mary - Thanks for the reply. Ironically, my example didn't line up properly when it went through the newsgroup, it appears. Let me try again. Numbers are like this: 1. This line Second line Bullets are like this * This line Second line. Hope that works. The point being that in numbering, the "S" in "Second line" lines up right beneath the "T" in "This line".

Using Publisher 2007. Why is it that when I have successive paragraphs using numbering, they look right, as in: 1. blah blah blah blah some more text here 2. blah blah blah blah some more text here 3. blah blah blah blah some more text here But when I have successive paragraphs of bullets, it comes out like this (and I can't find a way to line it up): • First line of text here Second
