Well, I am saying exactly that. Better plastic materials for strings have been kept from the market for decades by those criminals over at DuPont. The only thing nylon has going for it is it's resistance to abrasion, which makes it a great material for fretting, especially for steel strings, but nylon makes a poor string because it stretches out of tune and sounds unnatural.
