Dear All,Has anyone confirmed your pWIZ knockdown efficiency? I am confused with my result. I use elav-gal4 (line Bl8760) to driven pWIZ vector targeting a neuron-specific gene. The line with elav-gal4 and pWIZ insertion, is made with two copies. However, target gene RNA level from this line is similar to control. I have confirmed that pWIZ construction is right. I do not know what is wrong with ...

... projectiles and high-impact rounds made of rubber, according to the company. The ammo will come in .60-caliber plastic balls, about the size of the average paint ball. “MK-IV has knockdown power to spare,” boasts a product description by Security With Advanced Technology, “but our projectile technology maintains a truly less-lethal weapons system.” The cost of the rifles is "in the low ...

...RNAi Screening Center (DRSC) at Harvard Medical School is seeking a motivated scientist with Drosophila experience to do independent research in this community-oriented center. Research focus on RNAi knockdown and over-expression of non-coding RNAs plus construction of new screening reagents (e.g. for over-expression, new cell lines), assay development and assay optimization. Opportunity...

... the chromosomes if I pick extremely old larvae, but because they are so old they often appear to have defects that may not necessarily be mutant phenotypes. I have a construct for GAL4 driven RNAi knockdown, but I'm concerned that the maternal mRNA will be translated long before the onset of zygotic transcription. We don't have the capabilities to do injections. Does anyone have any ideas for ...
