Hi, Suav comes from XIA. XI = s in Hmong and A = ua in Hmong Hmong was originally pronounced HMI-UN. Therefore, HMI-UN --> HMIU -->HMAO, HMjO, HMONG, MONG, HMU, XIONG, SEUNG, et.. in Hmong language and MIAU, MIAO, MAN etc.. in other languages. Tzexa Miv dej tshuam miv dej ua niag dej.
